Childhood Memory
One of my brightest childhood memories is the day I was baptized. I was very young, but this moment was etched into my memory so clearly, as if it were yesterday. Since then, the church played a minimal role in my life: I visited it only a few times, prayers are unfamiliar to me. For me, the church always seemed like something akin to a sect, though I did believe in God.
In difficult moments or when I desired something, I asked God for it, crossed myself, and, surprisingly, always got what I wanted, though sometimes not in the most ecological way.
The Story of Meeting My Wife
One case especially stands out. Meeting my future wife. When I first saw her in photos — I really liked her, but I understood then that I didn't match her level, and there was no chance. Before our first meeting, as was proper, I prayed that we would get together and be together, and after that completely let go of the situation. And several years have passed since our wedding.
Path to Awareness
Today I do a lot of work on self-knowledge, explore my subconscious, and work on developing awareness. Thanks to this, I realized that prayers addressed to God with requests are no longer needed by me. My life depends only on me, and I am capable of changing it myself. The meditations I practice have become the same prayers for me, only addressed not to an external structure, but to my own development.
As I delved deeper into studying the work of the subconscious, I found answers to questions: what religion is, how it works, and why it exists.
Religion as a Tool
Religion is essentially one of the tools for working with the subconscious. These are the same meditations, laws, and practices, but with a different name and submission to certain frameworks. For example:
- Subconscious is called soul or aura
- Meditation — prayer
- Deep fears — demons
Essentially, it's an intermediary helping to solve issues on the subtle plane, but you can interact with the subtle plane independently, without imposing limiting frameworks.
Everything Has a Price
In religion, we "pay" with our faith, attention, and energy. And interestingly, payment is constantly taken from the moment a person is baptized, even if they don't go to church and don't believe in God. In my case, the payment is regular meditations, time, and effort on developing skills.
If we draw an analogy, religion is like a pension fund: we constantly make contributions, and it provides us with background protection, helping to avoid many troubles. And in the end, we pay much more than we get out, but we don't need to do anything special, everything happens by itself.
Why I Decided to Unbaptize
At some point, I realized that the energy taken by the religious egregore could go toward developing myself. So I decided to "unbaptize" — disconnect the influence of this structure on my subconscious.
Connection to the egregore occurs during baptism. It's believed that only a priest can unbaptize through a special ritual. In fact, at the subconscious level, this is like an invasive intervention, akin to "magic." As with any other invasion, this can be removed even independently by working with the subconscious. After all, it's just information.
The disconnection process took me only 10 minutes. The main thing here is firm intention.
What Changed After?
- More energy: I had more energy for the day, I became more productive
- Freedom from limitations: completely gone were the limitations in my head that religion imposes
- Neutral attitude: my attitude toward church holidays became neutral
- Understanding others: I stopped judging people who go to church. Now I understand that their path is their choice, and for many it's simpler than independent work on themselves
Conclusion
Unbaptizing for me meant taking full control of my life and directing my energy where it's really important. For everyone, this decision will be their own, but for me it became the beginning of a new chapter.
It's important to understand: I'm not calling on everyone to unbaptize. This is a personal choice for each person. For some, religion is exactly the path that suits them. My task is to show that there are alternative ways of working with the subconscious, and everyone can choose what resonates with them.
